THERE HAS BEEN A TWELVE PER CENT INCREASE IN PUBLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PAPERS IN THE COUNTRY

THERE HAS BEEN A TWELVE PER CENT INCREASE IN PUBLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PAPERS IN THE COUNTRY The Asia-Pacific Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC2010) was held in Beijing during 12to16th April 2010, which is jointly conducted by IEEE(USA), EMC, Beijing University and Tsinghua University , China. It was my pleasure of conducting a tutorial on Microwave Integrated Circuits for the delegates of APEMC2010. The other experts from France, USA, German, China, South Africa, Italy, Australia, Singapore, Israel and Canada, were presented their tutorials and workshops. There has been a 12 per cent increase in publication of scientific research papers in the country over the past three years against the global average of 4 per cent. China has a higher growth rate at 18 per cent. DR.S.RAGHAVAN SENIORMOST FACULTY IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING, NIT TRICHY

STUDENTS MOTIVATED TO IGNITE INDIA'S TECHNICAL COMPETENCY ON MICROWAVE PLATFORM

STUDENTS MOTIVATED TO IGNITE INDIA'S TECHNICAL COMPETENCY ON MICROWAVE PLATFORM Ways to enhance India's competency in space technology, Biomedical engineering and Information technology on the platform of microwave engineering were explained to 300 students at a workshop on Microwave Integrated Circuits and Metamaterials organized by the department of Electronics and Communication, Sri Angalamman College of Engineering and Technology. Dr.S.Suganthi, head of the department, was the coordinator.  MIC (Microwave Integrated Circuits) and RFMEMS (Radio Frequency Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) and their opportunities in terms of reduction in size, weight, power consumption of components as well as extension of their operating frquency even upto millimeter wave band were discussed.  Workshop on MIC  DR.S.RAGHAVAN SENIORMOST FACULTY IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING, NIT TRICHY
