STUDENTS MOTIVATED TO IGNITE INDIA'S TECHNICAL COMPETENCY ON MICROWAVE PLATFORM

Ways to enhance India's competency in space technology, Biomedical engineering and Information technology on the platform of microwave engineering were explained to 300 students at a workshop on Microwave Integrated Circuits and Metamaterials organized by the department of Electronics and Communication, Sri Angalamman College of Engineering and Technology. Dr.S.Suganthi, head of the department, was the coordinator.

MIC (Microwave Integrated Circuits) and RFMEMS (Radio Frequency Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) and their opportunities in terms of reduction in size, weight, power consumption of components as well as extension of their operating frquency even upto millimeter wave band were discussed.
