TWO-DAY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SMART TECHNOLOGIES IN ELECTRONICS AND PHOTONIC SYSTEMS AT RAMCO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

The Department of ECE, in association with the IEEE Photonics Society SBC, conducted a " Two-Day International Conference on Smart Technologies in Electronics and Photonics Systems (ICSTEPS 2025)" from 3 to 4 April 2025.

Prof. Dr. S. Raghavan attended the conference as a Guest of Honour and delivered an inspiring speech on Frequency Selective Surfaces. He highlighted recent advancements in photonics, microwave engineering, as well as their applications in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Prof. Dr. S. Raghavan encouraged the students to develop application-oriented technologies in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Photonics, Smart Technologies, Data Science, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

In ICSTEPS 2025, the chief guest and DRDL Brahmos Project Director Dr. G. Rajasingh Thangadurai, delivered a speech on the contribution of photonics in satellite and RADAR technologies.

The department head, Dr. C. Arunachalaperumal, the Principal Dr. L. Ganesan, Vice principal, Dr. S. Rajakarunakaran, Program Chair, Dr. S. Vairaprakash, have delivered their speech.

The cneference prceedings has been published in front of Chief Guest Dr. G. Rajasingh Thangadurai, and the Guest of Honour Prof. Dr. S. Raghavan, through which there were 73 research articles contributed by 220 researchers were submitted in the conference ICSTEPS 2025.

The arrangements are done by the program chairs, Dr. A. Lakshmi and Dr. S. Vairaprakash, and the faculty members of Electronics and Communication Engineering department.
