WAMS
(Wireless Antenna Microwave Society) is an international professional community
comprising technical students, research scholars, scientists, and academicians
dedicated to advancing research and development in wireless communication, RF
and microwave technologies, and antenna systems across the globe. Its members
include scientists from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, experts in advanced
antenna systems and high-frequency software consultants from the USA, Germany,
and France, as well as professionals from prominent Indian organizations such
as DRDO, ISRO, and BEL. With over two decades of post-PhD experience and an
international reputation marked by more than 4,200 citations, three patents,
the establishment of a unique Microwave Integrated Lab, authorship of one
international book and three Springer book chapters, as well as significant
contributions to interdisciplinary research in biomedical engineering, Dr. S.
Raghavan (HAG), who retired from NIT Trichy after 44 years of service, has been
selected for the prestigious LIFE FELLOW title by the executive committee. The
prestigious LIFE FELLOW award was conferred upon him during the WAMS Symposium
held on June 8th at IIITDM Kancheepuram. The honor was presented by Prof.
Christophe, IEEE President from Queensland, Australia, and Dr. P. Sudhakar Rao,
President of RAOS Consultant, USA. The event was attended by distinguished
delegates, including scientists from India and professors from institutions
such as the University of San Diego, Singapore, Feng Chia University, and
Queensland, Australia.
