Raghavan, who has been honoured with the Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Academic Library Association (ALA), Tamil Nadu, India, in recognition of his outstanding and lifelong contributions to the field of Library and Information Science.

Award Ceremony

The award was presented by Dr. Isabella Rajakumari, Principal of Holy Cross College, Tiruchirappalli, during a distinguished ceremony held on 27 June 2026. The event was graced by the presence of eminent academicians, including Dr. B.D. Kumbar, Vice-Chancellor, Davangere University, Dr. B Ramesh Babu, Former Library head, Madras University, Dr. M. Doraswamy, The former Vice-Chancellors of Dravidian University, Dr. B. Jeyapragash The Controller of Examinations (i/c), Bharathidasan University, Dr. S. Srinivasaragavan, Head of Library, Bharathidasan University, R. Saravanakumar is the District Library Officer (DLO), Trichy, and the Conference Organizer Senthamizh Selvi, and numerous librarians and professionals from across the country. There are 68 articles related to Social Utility have been presented in the conference.

Beyond his distinguished accomplishments in Library and Information Science, he is also widely recognized for his contributions as a Microwave Researcher, reflecting his multidisciplinary expertise and academic excellence.

He has been serving as a senior member of several prestigious professional bodies, including ILA, ALA, SALIS, IATLIS, and BENNETT, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the profession. Furthermore, he takes great pride in his role as the Founder Coordinator in the establishment and development of the extensive library system at the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, one of India's premier institutions.

Similarly the Microwave Technology which is the back bone of modern communication, space applications, and digital diagnostics of health care, Defence applications is said to work perfect if the MATCHING is good.
